Caricature of media influence in Saudi Arabia

  • PDF

A Self-explanatory cartoon by Saudi caricaturist Rabeea, about the role of mainstream media in shaping and manipulating citizen’s stance, leaving nothing for common sense and wise judgement.

The wearied thing is the fact that he has chosen an old  radio and cassette recording device in a 2011 caricature, even though the Saudi market is one of the fastest and most active in marketing high tech. and media appliances in the Middle East.

The Cassette introduced in the seventies was one of the most difficult ways to monitor the promoters of extremism. The cassette was cheap, easy to copy and distribute and hard to trace.
