Palestine now exists, or so says the overwhelming majority of the member states of the United Nations. The UN vote to recognise Palestine as a non-member observer state has attracted huge attention, with many (not just Israeli official spokespeople) pointing out that the reality on the ground will change little as a result.

Few days ago Israeli strikes killed three more journalists travelling in their cars in two separate incidents in Gaza city.Surely, the fourth strongest military power in the world and the only army in the Middle East that has nuclear weapons and brags about being equipped with the latest technologies of destruction and which claims its strikes are surgically precise, must have known there were journalists in these cars.

Having viewed the piece, Caabu has complained immediately to the BBC on account of major factual inaccuracies but also a failure to reflect the Palestinian historical narrative within the report.
West Midlands Palestine Solidarity Campaign and University of Birmingham Students for Justice in Palestine and other campaigners for Palestinian human rights in the West Midlands have called a "die-in" on the steps of the BBC at the Mailbox in Birmingham on Thursday evening 22d November 2012, to protest against its biased reporting on the recent Israeli assault on Gaza.
