The Emirates women football team won the game against the Palestinian women’s team scoring 2-4 in a friendly game of football at Alkhader Stadium in Bethlehem south of the occupied West Bank on Sunday.

The Emirates goals were scored by Dalila Zrougi, Iman Taroda and Sarah Mohammed, while the Palestinian women’s goals were scored by Wala’a Hussain and Carol Sahijan.

This game was the third friendly match played by the Palestinian women’s team on its home soil during the past three years, after playing two other matches against the Japanese and Jordanian teams.

This match came to celebrate the election of three Palestinian women in the Palestinian football Federation Council and to mark the start of the fourth season of Palestinian women's soccer.

The Secretary General of the women’s football Committee, Amal Boshlakh, expressed her gratitude to the Palestinian Union for facilitating this event. She has also announced that the UAE team will return to Palestine in June to participate in the West Asian Women's Football Championship.

The Captain of the Palestinian National Women's team, Jacqueline Jazrawi said «The aim of this meeting was to provide support for Palestinian women's sports. My team feel proud after this historical meeting with the United Arab Emirates team, which happens to be the second Arab women's team to visit Palestine after the Jordanian Women’s team.

On the other hand, the Emirates women captain, Nora Mazrouei, expressed her delight for the success of the historic visit to Palestine and for contributing to the support of women's sports
