In Saudi Town, Women Protest Detentions, Leading to Their Own
Last weekend, Saudi security forces encircled and arrested a small group of women who were protesting the long-term detention of relatives without charges on suspicion of terrorism, and the event has touched off nearly a week of unrest in the Saudi town of Buraida.

Hundosa was found on the side of the road with her head shaved.
A critical Sudanese freelance journalist was found on the side of a road in Khartoum on Friday after being reported missing on October 29, according to news reports. Somaya Ibrahim Ismail Hundosa had been tortured and her head shaved while she was held captive, the reports said.

Frome Friends of Palestine's speaker this month will be local resident Ronelle Jonat. This summer, Ronelle stayed at Hope Secondary School, Beyt Jala near Bethlehem. She gave English sessions to local students, then spent time travelling and meeting some very interesting people.
